The top stitching is subtle but smart.

I've had these in blue before and they are very versatile too.

The Wallert black or indeed any colour are made for comfort and the shoes live up to that. I have arthritic feet and find it difficult to wear closed in shoes. I am able to wear these shoes sometimes over 12 hours at a time. As I have extra wide feet now due to bunions, I buy half a size larger to compensate. I now have 3 pairs of these shoes in different colours!

Over the last few years I have had about 20 pairs of the Wallert style in various colours. This is my third pair in black. They are so comfortable and I can walk miles in this style. I wear them with a lamb-wool innersole which I change regularly instead of socks as the 'hole pattern' allows good ventilation without wearing a sock. Wish they were manufacturing some of the great pastel styles they previously produced (pale pink, light green etc) as they look great in summer; especially as walkers are now fashionable.
