Terms & Conditions
If you are not satisfied after receiving your order, you have a period of 30 days from the date of receipt to return or exchange the item(s).This does not affect any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law, as described in further detail under the "Your Statutory Guarantees" section below. In particular, there is no set time limit where there is a breach of your statutory guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. In those circumstances, you will have a reasonable period of time after purchase to return the goods.
In order to return or exchange an order, you must check that it meets the following criteria:
- The product must not have been used.
- The product must be returned in the condition in which it was sent, in the original packaging where possible. If the original packaging is not available, it should be replaced with packaging of a similar size and capacity.
- The product must be delivered to our web store (see address below) within 30 days of receipt of your order.
- Please be sure to indicate your reason for return in writing. For your protection, we advise that you send by registered post. We are unable to offer a refund or an exchange on any handbags, accessories or sale items, unless the item is faulty
When sending items for return or exchange the products should be preferably packaged in their original box, and sent by ordinary certified mail to the address below.
Returns and exchanges must be made through our Website shop. You should return your items to:

Once we have received the item(s) and checked that it/they comply with the requirements as detailed above, Peter Sheppard Footwear will refund the price you paid for the item(s) within 30 working days. Direct costs of returning the item(s), will be paid by you except in the case of manufacturing default or quality issue where Peter Sheppard Footwear is responsible for the costs of returning the item(s). This does not affect any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law, as described in further detail under the "Your Statutory Guarantees-Refunds" section below. If the item is returned as a result of a manufacturing default or quality issue for which Peter Sheppard Footwear is responsible, and a refund is to be provided or a replacement (as described further in "Your Statutory Guarantees" section below) we will refund the entire amount paid within 10 working days.
Refunds will be issued using the payment method used for the purchase. Subject to your statutory guarantees outlined below, we will not refund a purchase or replace a product where in our reasonable opinion the product has following sale to you become of unacceptable quality due to misuse, failure to use in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, using it in an abnormal way or failure to take reasonable care.
In the case of exchanges, the purchaser is responsible for all delivery and collection costs. Once we have received the item(s), we will send you the new size or model(s), using the same service as for the original purchase.
The Australian Consumer Law which is Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) provides certain statutory guarantees that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified. These are in addition to any voluntary warranties offered by the manufacturer or supplier. Nothing in this Agreement affects or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or similar legislation applying in Australia regarding statutory guarantees.
You will be entitled (at your election) to a full refund or replacement (provided that a replacement is available in stock) if the goods:
- are faulty, or become faulty within a reasonable period of time after purchase;
- are unsafe;
- are unfit for a disclosed purpose that was made known to the supplier and they cannot, easily and within a reasonable time, be remedied to make them fit for such a purpose;
- are significantly different from the sample or description;
- are of unacceptable quality, or
- would otherwise be treated as a 'major failure' under the Australian Consumer Law.
Where an issue with the goods would not be treated as a 'major failure' under the Australian Consumer Law, we will (at our election and upon return of the goods by you to us in accordance with the process outlined above):
- replace the goods; or
- offer to repair the items; or
- provide a full refund including the delivery fee.
Replacement products are subject to the same statutory guarantees as the original. Your right to return faulty goods under the Australian Consumer Law (whether for major failures or otherwise) extends for a reasonable period of time after purchase, and there is no set time limit within which a buyer can return faulty goods. This means that the 30 day return limit described under the 'Returns and Exchanges' section above is not applicable where a statutory guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law applies.
